Details of the posting process

You can post Flipnotes to Flipnote Hatena using your Nintendo DSi very quickly, however there is a delay between the time of submission and the time of appearance in Flipnote Hatena on the Nintendo DSi. After a Flipnote or comment is posted, the contents will be confirmed to be safe for our broad age range of users, and will then become viewable on the Nintendo DSi. Users should be aware that depending on the contents of the materials they submit, some Flipnotes may only be viewable on the Flipnote Hatena website and will not be viewable on Flipnote Hatena on the Nintendo DSi.

Contents that are considered to be inappropriate

The following types of Flipnotes and comments are not suitable to be shown on Flipnote Hatena, and we request that users help to report such contents if they find them. After a Flipnote or comment has been reported as inappropriate it will be temporarily witheld from view in the Flipnote Hatena (DSi) and will be either returned to public view or removed from the service after being reviewed by Hatena customer support.

• Submissions containing sexual content or language.
• Submissions containing violent content, language, cyberbullying or harassing content.
• Submissions that are racist, contain profanity or other ethically problematic content or language.
• Submissions containing images of the likeness of others used without permission or which violate the privacy of others.
• Submissions that contain the unauthorized reproduction of copyrighted work or materials, or violate the intellectual property rights of others.
• Submissions that defame, insult or slander the character of others or violate others rights.
• Submissions with excessive flickering that may induce photosensitive epileptic seizures of viewers.
• Submissions created for the purpose of commercial or monetary gain or used for unauthorized advertising or promotion.
• Submissions that are deemed to be over-posting, abusive of the system, or causing annoyance to other users.
• Submissions of other types that are generally considered to be inappropriate for the service.

In addition, if submitted Flipnotes and comments are determined to be in violation of the Terms of Service the contents may also be permanently removed from view on Flipnote Hatena website.
